The Quickie Chronicles - W.A.R.

This will contain a quickie, I promise, but back story is so necessary.

This isn't what I wanted out of life.

We met our junior year of college.  I must admit I'd always been attracted to him but with both of us bouncing in and out of relationships the sibling label was quickly attached.  With every break up, there was a pizza and movie pity party.  We lit candles, talked shit, ate til we were about to explode, drank until we were dizzy, and fell asleep in each others arms.

Imagine my excitement when I found out we were moving on to start our adult lives in the same city.  It was like things never changed, except for the fact that we had to pay bills.  We lived together, made our meals together, went to work together.  We were practically twins conjoined at the hip.  Of course, as time passed, we found boos or became otherwise romantically involved.  Never quite finding the one, always reverting back to our pity parties.

Until one day Lex came home with a ring.  It was nearing the end of our two year lease and we were still trying to figure out what to do.  I was hoping we would keep our living situation the same as my current boyfriend was pressuring me to move in with him and I just wasn't ready.  Lex came home all excited and showed me the ring.  He'd decided he was going to move in with is current girlfriend, Tanya, and propose to her on their anniversary.  They'd be going together almost the entire time we lived together, off and on like a motherfucker.  I'd heard all the dirty stories about her and didn't care for her being that close to my Lex, but I actually liked her as a person.

Moving on.  We moved our separate ways.  And I was actually enjoying living with my boyfriend.  So much so, when his lease was over we started looking into homes to purchase.  We were starting a family.

At my baby shower, Lex and I got to spend some time alone.  I'd run away from the crowd to rest and he came to keep me company.  We joked about me being best girl at his wedding.  I told him there was no way in hell.  Laying in the bed, holding hands, I felt like that was the way I wanted to spend eternity.  I shared my thoughts with Lex and freaked him out.

"Why would you wait til you're 8 months pregnant with another man's child, and I'm 6 months from my wedding to say some shit like that?"  I didn't think he'd take me seriously.  Hell, I didn't even think he'd react at all.  Before I could even formulate a response, his lips were on mine.  The rest is unfortunate history.

My son is two now.  Lex is his godfather.  He's been married for almost a year and a half.  I married my sons father a few months after his birth.   I've been creeping with Lex since my baby shower.  I don't know how we've managed to keep this a secret.  We send each other smutty comic strips, our love stories to each other.  The most recent one being the title of this chronicle.

A couple meets in a park for a picnic.  They find the tree that provides the most shade, and is the most secluded.  They eat their meal, share their jokes, find precious, intimate moments to steal kisses.  The boyfriend keeps asking the girlfriend if she's ready for W.A.R.  Being oblivious to the fact he's made some shit up, she tells him how she'll stand by his side no matter what, fight with him, honor him until she takes her last breath.  He admires how admirable she is, how dedicated she is to him.  He lifts her off the ground and presses her back against the tree.  Her legs wrap around his waist as they kiss each other passionately.  He lifts her dress and moves her panties aside as he enters her swiftly.  She claws at his back and reaches for tree limbs as he continues to thrust in and out of her.  After they both climax, he keeps her legs around his waist, and allows himself to go limp inside of her.

"Now, that's some W.A.R. lovin", he says breathlessly.  She looks at him confused.  He just looks at her and chuckles as he says,  "without a rubber."

You cannot imagine how I died laughing after I read this.  I hide it at the bottom of my old costume chest where I hide the rest of my secrets.  I look down at my growing belly and I hope I can keep this one as well...
